Is a UK university of over 21,000 students and 2,500 staff based on five campuses in Brighton

Since being granted university status in 1992 the University of Brighton has grown steadily. Today it has more than 20,000 students . The Research Excellence Framework 2014 (REF) ranked Brighton in the top 25% of UK universities for its world-leading research impact.

• The origins of the university can be traced back to 1859 with the founding of the School of Art in the Brighton Royal Pavilion.
