WHAT IS CAS

CAS stands for Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies.
This means that a university confirms to the UK
government's Home Office that they have made you an
Unconditional offer of a study place at the university
and that you have accepted this. In order to get the
CAS, apart from the unconditional offer letter, a deposit
payment for your course is required. You will need the
CAS number to apply for a visa to allow you to study in
the UK. CAS numbers are only valid for one visa
application and expire six months after they are issued.

WHAT IS THE
BACHELOR’S DEGREE?

A first degree, leading to a Bachelor of Arts (BA),
Bachelor of Science (BSc) or equivalent, is gained after
three to five years of study, depending on institution and
field of study. Bachelor's degrees can be either single
honours or combined honours. A single honour degree
focuses on one subject area, while combined honours
involves studying two subjects equally, or specialising in
one subject and taking fewer modules in the other.
