Teesside University is dynamic and energetic, celebrating over 80 years of innovative and inspiring education. Officially opened in 1930 as Constantine Technical College by the then Prince of Wales.

• Teesside University’s library has four floors of quality, up-to-date resources with experienced staff on-hand, 1,300 places for individual and group study, access to over 40,000 books and 29,500 journals, over 400 PCs across all floors and specialist academic librarians for each subject area. There’s also a Costa Coffee for your well-earned study breaks. There’s a learning hub at Teesside too – it provides practical advice on developing your academic skills – literature searching and referencing.

• When it comes to sport, Teesside’s Olympia sports complex has everything from a 500-spectator sports hall and floodlit artificial turf outdoor pitch plus a temperature controlled environmental training chamber and a climbing wall. There’s a hydrotherapy pool and a biomechanics lab too.
• One of the country’s best teaching and learning environments in all digital aspects of computing, design and media including a newsroom, broadcast news studios, multimedia publishing and computing suites.
• A conservation centre for a vast archive of film and TV material dating from 1912.
• From 2016, Teesside will have a new Health and Fitness Centre offering state-of-the-art cardiovascular and resistance areas, multi-purpose studios and a sauna and steam room. Sign up for the gym and go to as many classes and swimming sessions as you like as part of the excellent monthly fee.
• For outdoor sport there is a water sports centre on the River Tees plus white water rafting at the Tees Barrage.
