This is the part most agencies stop before. The offer is accepted, the visa is stamped, and the student is left to work out the rest alone in a country they have never visited.
Before you fly
We run a pre-departure briefing covering the practical things that are obvious only in hindsight: what to pack and what to buy there, what you can and cannot bring through customs, what to keep in your hand luggage, how much cash to carry, and what the first week actually looks like.
We also make sure the timing works. Arriving three days before registration with no accommodation confirmed is a stressful way to start, and it happens more often than it should.
Arrival
Where we can, someone meets you at the airport and takes you to your accommodation. For a student arriving alone at one in the morning in a city they have never seen, this matters more than anything else we do.
The first week
University registration, a bank account, a local SIM, and where required registering with a doctor or with the police. Each of these is straightforward and each is easy to get wrong when you do not know the system. We work through them with you rather than handing you a checklist.
After that
You keep the same counsellor. Students come back to us about changing course, extending a visa, finding new accommodation in second year, or applying for a master’s afterwards. That continuity is the point of the whole arrangement.
