Students from more than 120 countries choose Aston, on a compact city-centre campus in Birmingham. It began as the Birmingham Municipal Technical School in 1895 and became the UK’s first College of Advanced Technology in 1956, a history that still shows in its applied, industry-facing approach and its emphasis on placement years.
Both direct entry and foundation or pathway routes are available here. If your grades or English score fall short of direct admission, the pathway route is a genuine alternative to waiting a year.
Tuition, entry requirements and intake dates differ by programme and change each year. Ask us for the current figures for the course you are considering rather than relying on published averages.
