Conditional English route
With IELTS 5.0 (no band below 4.5) or equivalent, students can be admitted with an ESL requirement and take Academic ESL alongside a few degree courses; programs such as Architectural Studies, Industrial Design, Nursing and Journalism do not allow this route.
Program prerequisites
Each bachelor's program sets its own prerequisite subjects and grades; Carleton's online admission requirements tool shows them by curriculum.
Deadline and deposit
The application deadline is April 1 for most programs, and admitted international students pay a CAD 2,000 tuition deposit before receiving their provincial attestation letter.
