Medicine entrance exam

All applicants to English-taught General Medicine and Dentistry sit an entrance exam with test papers in Biology, Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics; it can be taken online and only once per academic year.

School qualification

Applicants need A-levels in three subjects or an equivalent completed secondary education; there is no set grade requirement and you may apply before finishing.

English proof

Non-native speakers need, for example, IELTS 6, TOEFL 87, Cambridge FCE or PTE Academic 59, or take the faculty's own English test; English-medium schooling gives an exemption.

Application window

Applications for September 2027 open from 1 November 2026 to 31 July 2027, and must be complete two weeks before the chosen exam date.

Advice for non-EU applicants

Non-EU applicants are strongly advised to choose exam dates no later than May, as a Czech residence permit can take up to three months.

Application fee

The administrative fee is 80 euros per application, paid online and non-refundable, with no further exam fee.
