Programme tracks

SGU's Doctor of Medicine has 4-, 5-, 6- and 7-year tracks; international applicants enter at a level that depends on their qualifications.

High school entry

A secondary school or American High School Diploma with an overall average of 90% or better and strong science results qualifies for the 6-year track; the 7-year track (Grenada only) takes secondary school graduates at an earlier level.

5-year track

A Levels with A or B in Biology, Chemistry and Maths or Physics, a full IB Diploma of 32 points with HL Chemistry and Biology at 5+, or an approved foundation programme.

4-year MD

Applicants from outside the US and Canada need a bachelor's with a strong science background; no MCAT is required for applicants from outside North America.

English

IELTS Academic 7.0 overall with 7.0 in every band (or TOEFL, Duolingo 130 and similar equivalents) for applicants from non-English-speaking countries.
