About the university

Why students choose the University of Leeds

A large Russell Group university with one of the biggest campuses in the UK, sitting a short walk from Leeds city centre. Strong across business, engineering and medicine, and a common choice for students who want a major research university without London costs.

Both direct entry and foundation or pathway routes are available here. If your grades or English score fall short of direct admission, the pathway route is a genuine alternative to waiting a year.

Tuition, entry requirements and intake dates differ by programme and change each year. Ask us for the current figures for the course you are considering rather than relying on published averages.
