Why students choose Istanbul Gelisim University

A large private university on the European side with a very broad programme range and one of the biggest international student populations in Turkey, with English-taught options across health, engineering and business.

We apply here for direct entry. Entry requirements vary by programme, so the first step is a review of your transcripts and English score against the specific course you want.

Tuition, entry requirements and intake dates differ by programme and change each year. Ask us for the current figures for the course you are considering rather than relying on published averages.

Tawjihi minimum

Students from Jordan apply with the Tawjihi and need a minimum high school score of 50%, or 60% for the Faculty of Dentistry.

SAT

SAT is accepted with a minimum of 1100/1600 (at least 600 each in Math and Reading), or 1200/1600 for Dentistry.

If your grade is below the minimum

Applicants whose diploma grade does not meet the criteria can take the university's YÖS exam instead.

Documents

Applicants send a passport copy, high school diploma (or a final-year letter from the school) and official transcript; a one-page motivation letter is optional.

English prep exemption

Students in English-taught programmes skip the preparatory year with 70/100 on the university's proficiency exam, YDS 60 or an equivalent score, or three final school years in a native-English country.

Guidance only: meeting a requirement does not guarantee an offer, and each course sets its own grades and English level. Checked October 2026.
