A multi-campus public university in Northern Ireland, formed in 1968 as the New University of Ulster and merged with Ulster Polytechnic in 1984. Its four campuses are in Belfast, Coleraine, Derry (Magee College) and Jordanstown, so the campus you apply to matters as much as the university itself.

Both direct entry and foundation or pathway routes are available here. If your grades or English score fall short of direct admission, the pathway route is a genuine alternative to waiting a year.

Tuition, entry requirements and intake dates differ by programme and change each year. Ask us for the current figures for the course you are considering rather than relying on published averages.
