About the university

Why students choose Bangor University

Founded in 1884 in north Wales, sitting between Snowdonia and the Menai Strait. Notable for ocean sciences, psychology and forestry, with living costs well below most UK university towns.

Both direct entry and foundation or pathway routes are available here. If your grades or English score fall short of direct admission, the pathway route is a genuine alternative to waiting a year.

Tuition, entry requirements and intake dates differ by programme and change each year. Ask us for the current figures for the course you are considering rather than relying on published averages.
